To better reflect the “Visual” Newsletter, I place the videos at the beginning of the post.
Here is the unedited video.
I uploaded to YouTube an edited and sped-up video (I decided later that the Raw Video is fine.):
(Since I have done this so many times before, I mostly wrote this from memory before making the video.)
After putting my Corelle Winter Frost White 1 Quart bowl with my Toaks Titanium Long Handle Spoon in the bathroom seashell sink, I turn on the hot water and let the water run until it gets too hot. During this waiting period, I first transfer the spoon to my right hand after picking it up with my left hand. Then, I empty the bowl by lifting the right side of the bowl and keep tilting it until the left side of the bowl touches the sink wall. I further tilt it using the sink's wall as a balancer for the bowl until all the water is emptied. I repeat this process several times.
Once the water gets too hot, I empty the bowl and, as I am filling it with hot water, I pour several drops of Dawn Platinum soap into the bowl which suds up with the running water. I rotate the bowl until I find the tiny dot that I made with my titanium spoon and align it with the faucet. After the bowl has filled up with sudsy water. After 5 - 10 minutes (depending on what I microwaved in it), with my left hand, I take my Scotch-Brite Stainless Steel Scrubber (pad) that I have thoroughly flattened and immerse it in the water.
I first clean the spoon to get it out of the way. After picking up the spoon with my left hand, I transfer it to my right hand. I hold the spoon and, in a "diagonal" direction, I move the pad back and forth. I immerse the pad in the water again and repeat the process. I turn the spoon over and repeat the process, again. After dipping it in the water, I put the spoon on the counter.
I like the song, "Halfway Gone" and I am halfway through my explanation of my process.
(I had to dry my hand so I could readjust the camera.)
I start at the dot with the pad, and go in an up and down motion around the bowl until I reach the dot. I then do the same motion going in the opposite direction until I reach the dot.
*** Going back and forth horizontally with the pad, I clean the "left" side. Next, I clean the bottom of the bowl using a flat "vertical" motion, then a horizontal motion, and a circular motion.
I rotate the bowl a third or until the dot is near my right hand and repeat the *** process.
I rotate the bowl another third or until the dot is on the left side and repeat the *** process.
I pour out the water in the bowl and turn on the hot water to let it get hot. I fill up the bowl and after pouring out the water, rinse the pad by putting it in the bowl as it is filling up and then splash it up and down. After hitting the pad against the sink wall several times, I put the pad back on the counter. Then, I pour the water out again. After I have laid down the bowl, I rinse the spoon under the running water as the bowl is filling up. I turn off the water. After picking up the spoon with my left hand, I transfer it to my right hand. I empty the bowl.
I do not clean the outside of the bowl since I do not stack my bowls.
Thank you for watching.
Thank you for sharing this video. For me this is important to share with some of the disabled veterans in my buildings. Most of them have sustained injuries during combat and are on a long journey of physical therapy, learning how to use their hands to balance objects and learning to become independent. I’m so glad to have met you through your writing of topics on another newsletter. I look forward to more of your sharing of music and videos here .
Thank you🙂
