I send my condolences to the shooting victims of the Highland Park, Illinois, parade.

Also, I send my condolences to the family of Jayland Walker, who was unarmed and shot at least 60 times.

This piece was hard for me to write since I am still shell shocked from the stolen seat(s) - Antonin Scalia and Ruth Bader Ginsburg - Supreme Court decisions involving guns, abortion, and now ...

Past midnight Saturday morning, I watched Channing Tatum's movie, Dog, which was very good. Since I am a dog lover myself, I understood the moral of the movie, which is that a dog will take care of you if you let it. (He has to take his former battle buddy's dog to his funeral by car from Oregon to Arizona in a multi-day trip.)

I am glad I watched the movie after I learned that the Supreme Court will hear, next term, the case about "independent state legislature" authority. CNN and MSNBC have good video segments on the topic.

“Not even a state supreme court, let alone other state elections officials, can alter the legislatively written election rules or interfere with the appointment of state electors by the legislatures, under this theory.”

This may sound complicated, but it need not be: State legislatures don’t have sole authority over elections. There are state laws, state constitutions, state elections procedures, and state courts that help dictate the process. But under the so-called “independent state legislature” doctrine, legislators would have the power to bypass those other checks and act unilaterally."

I hope that I am wrong, but I believe that this case will be heard on or shortly after October 3, 2022, decided, and announced before the end of October, 2022, simply because the 5-6 maniacal justices can! The midterm elections are November 8, 2022.

On Saturday morning on MSNBC's Velshi, I learned that a clinic in Alabama "can't even give info about abortion to new patients anymore." On Sunday morning, I expanded my knowledge about "corporate surveillance" with regards to women seeking abortion. In the second half of the interview, Tatum Hunter talks about how ' “Birthmothers are chronically underrepresented in conversations about reproductive choice” '. This is only going to keep getting worse.

(Cyndi Lauper's) If I Could Turn Back Time, Mitch McConnell and other GQPer's would have been raised with a dog and understood that the dog's intelligence is smarter than a human's. You have to be a dog (Chihuahua) owner to understand this! 😀

Even though my dog, Roscoe, is my one of my best friends, Bear is my 2nd best friend, they somewhat compensate for the whiplash illegitimate Supreme Court decisions.

This is not a Happy 4th of July.
